The Carolina Short Film and Screenwriting Showcase has announced its 2018 dates, and opened their call for submissions, via an official press release sent to Nerd Nation Magazine.

The one-day film festival will take place September 1, 2018 in Asheville, NC, and will feature independent short films from all over the world, with a strong focus on independent shorts made in the Carolinas, and special awards categories set aside for such regionally-produced films. Many participating filmmakers will also be in attendance, with several hosting special Q&A presentations along with their screenings.
Submission fees are $15.00 (through August 31). They are currently only accepting short films and screenplays, although all genres are accepted. Submissions can be made at their official FilmFreeway page at: FilmFreeway.com/CarolinaScreenwritingShowcase
