Greetings Fellow Nerds!
I have been on a most excellent adventure to the hustle and bustle that is Downtown Atlanta, GA and the annual Atlanta Tattoo Expo brought to you by Sacred Heart Tattoo, Little 5 points. Because hey, most of use have a fair amount of ink to show off whenever we have the chance.

The expo brought a ton of amazing artists and techniques from literally all over the world from as far away as Austria, and Polynesia to show off their talents and create new masterpieces for people to show off. Spanning 3 days, the expo delivered a great family friendly atmosphere offering daily contests for various categories of tattoo style, and a bikini contest with a $500 prize. Sideshow greats Captain and Maybelle were also on hand wowing the crowds with their crazy acts, and the Captain also being the expo MC for the weekend; celebrity guests Big Gus from TV show Tattoo Nightmares, & Al Fliction from Spike Tv’s Ink Master, and amazing traditional artist Pili MO’O, whose delivery method of tattooing is the ancient Polynesian art using several sizes of boars tooth combs and a small wood mallet slowly hammering in the ink, were also on hand to show off their talent.
Overall, this expo was a great experience, on a professional and personal level. Getting to see friends that are not seen often enough, and the chance to see some amazing tattoos both in action and stuff that had already been done. If you’re into tattoos (either getting them or seeing them) or might be curious about them, then I would personally highly recommend stashing away a wad of cash and coming down next year; you won’t be disappointed with any artist you choose to get your next tattoo from.
Special thanks to everyone with the Atlanta Tattoo Expo for having Nerd Nation Magazine down as media guests, and special thanks to everyone who allowed us to take photos!
