NEWS – Florida Anime Experience Announces 2016 Dates

KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA: Florida Anime Experience has announced its 2016 dates and will take place April 22-24, 2016 at the Park Inn by Radisson Resort & Conference Center.

Started in 2011, Florida Anime Experience is a three-day pop culture event celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, fashion, and video games. The event boasts unique celebrity and industry guests plus over two hundred hours of programming for fans of Japanese entertainment and Asian culture. This is the convention’s sixth year in Central Florida and events begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22nd and run through Sunday, April 24th until 6:00 PM.

Ticket prices are $20 for Friday or Sunday, $25 for Saturday, or $45 for all three days. Advance tickets are available online through April 5, 2016 at http://www.FloridaAnime.com/tickets. Children three years of age and under get in for free.

As with previous years, Florida Anime Experience works to bring in unique talent for Central Florida’s discerning fans. 2016 is no different as the convention will host the first ever Florida appearance of acclaimed voice actress Kate Oxley – known to anime fans as the voice of Akane Tsunemori from the Psycho-Pass series and motion picture.

Fan favorite Caitlin Glass – the voice of Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist – will return for her first appearance in the Orlando area since 2009! A veteran in the industry, she is also an ADR Director on many popular anime titles including the highly acclaimedOuran High School Host Club.

Also scheduled to appear: AnimEigo Co-Founder Robert Woodhead, Anime Addicts Anonymous Podcast, the Central Florida Bonsai Club, Cosplay Model Amazon Mandy, Metro Orlando Judo Kai, Noise Complaint, Origami Artist Al Aki, SSAA Podcast, Steve Bennett, and Tayrex Cosplay, among others.
