JACKSONVILLE, FL: WasabiCon the annual multi-fandom convention focusing on anime, comics, cosplay, gaming, science fiction, video games, and geek culture has announced its 2015 dates via an official press release. The two-day event reports attendance of “over 2,000 attendees annually” to the Jacksonville Marriott, and promises to bring even more to this year’s offering. The event will take place October 31st-November 1st.
Tickets are reported at $35 for weekend passes, with single day admission available for Saturday at $20, and Sunday at $15. Children under 3 are admitted free of charge.
Notable guests include David Sobolov (the voice of Gorilla Grodd on the popular CW television series The Flash and the voice of Drax the Destroyer in the animated Guardians of the Galaxy television series and video games) and Amanda Miller (the voice of the iconic Sailor Jupiter in the Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal anime series). Other appearing talent include The Walking Dead zombie extra Triston Johnson, the 1701st Fleet Star Trek Club, Florida cosplayer Candy Keane, author Seth Kubersky, and the Umbrella Corp. 219th Cosplay Group, among various others.
